Operations & Business Development Manager – Cleaning & Maintenance Services

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations & Business Development Manager to lead and expand our Cleaning & Maintenance Services Division. This role is responsible for establishing efficient operational processes, managing field teams, ensuring service excellence, and driving business growth through the acquisition of new service contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, cleaning services, or maintenance operations, combined with proven business development and client acquisition experience within the UAE market.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

• Establish and structure operational processes, workflows, and service standards.
• Supervise and manage cleaning and maintenance staff.
• Plan daily schedules, manpower allocation, shifts, and task assignments.
• Ensure high standards of service quality, health & safety, and client satisfaction.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance evaluations.
• Manage employee attendance, discipline, training, and productivity.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee the procurement and usage of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.

Business Development

• Identify, approach, and secure new cleaning and maintenance service contracts.
• Develop relationships with property management companies, commercial buildings, offices, facilities, and corporate clients.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, presentations, and service agreements.
• Conduct market research and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer retention.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.

Administration & Reporting

• Prepare operational, sales, and performance reports.
• Monitor departmental budgets, costs, and resource utilization.
• Analyze business performance and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with senior management on growth strategies and operational planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in cleaning services, facilities management, maintenance services, or a related industry.
• Proven track record in business development, sales, and contract acquisition.
• Experience managing blue-collar workforces and field operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities.
• Good understanding of the UAE B2B service market.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, reporting, and email communication.
• Valid UAE Driving License is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or structuring an operations department from the ground up.
• Existing network within real estate, facilities management, hospitality, or corporate sectors.
• Ability to balance operational excellence with business growth objectives.
