Full-Time Lecturer Position

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications from qualified Master's degree holders for a Full-Time Lecturer position in the College of Security and Global Studies.

Academic Semester: Fall 2026-2027Areas of SpecializationThe successful candidate will teach one or more of the following areas:

International RelationsPolitical ScienceSecurityInstruction Language: EnglishTeaching Load: 15 credit hours per semester

Job Purpose

Responsible for providing students with professional expertise in teaching, assessing student work, academic advising, participating in administrative and committee activities, professional service, and community engagement.

Qualifications & EducationMaster's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Strategic Studies, or a related field from an accredited university.

Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses in the relevant discipline.

Strong academic and professional background in the field.

Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

ExperienceMinimum of two (2) years of teaching experience at an accredited higher education institution or relevant professional experience in government, diplomacy, international organizations, security, intelligence, or related sectors.

Experience in undergraduate teaching and student engagement.

Industrial and professional experience (recommended min 5 years).

Experience with learning management systems and educational technologies is preferred.

Skills / Training / KnowledgeEffective instructional delivery and classroom management skills.

Ability to integrate digital and web-based technologies into teaching and learning.

Curriculum development and assessment experience.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
