Land Transportation Operations & Fleet Supervisor (UAE & GCC)

We are looking for an experienced Land Transportation Operations Supervisor with a strong background in the shipping and logistics industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring land transportation operations within the UAE and GCC countries.

The role includes coordinating shipments, managing drivers and company fleet, coordinating with external transporters, and following up on border clearance procedures and container movements to and from Jebel Ali Port.

Key Responsibilities:Transportation Operations Management

• Supervise land transportation operations within the UAE and GCC countries.
• Plan and monitor truck movements and shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate daily with customers, drivers, and external transporters.
• Resolve operational issues related to shipments, delays, and border crossings.

Driver & Transporter Management

• Source and coordinate with truck drivers and external transporters to execute shipments.
• Build and maintain a reliable network of transporters across the UAE and GCC.
• Assign shipments to drivers and monitor execution.
• Negotiate transportation rates and achieve operational efficiency.

Fleet Management

• Supervise company drivers, vehicles, and trucks.
• Follow up on vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licenses.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and traffic regulations.
• Monitor driver performance and improve operational efficiency.

Border & Customs Clearance

• Have knowledge of land transportation procedures and customs clearance through GCC borders.
• Follow up on required shipment documents and coordinate with customs clearance agents.
• Ensure all required documents and permits are completed for transportation.

Jebel Ali Port Operations

• Follow up on container pickup and return operations from/to Jebel Ali Port.
• Understand container release procedures and shipping line requirements.
• Coordinate with drivers and transporters for container movements.
• Deal with relevant port authorities and follow operational procedures.

Reporting & Customer Service

• Provide regular shipment updates to customers and management.
• Prepare transportation and fleet performance reports.
• Support service improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in land transportation, freight forwarding, or logistics.
• Practical knowledge of UAE and GCC transportation operations.
• Experience dealing with border crossings and customs clearance procedures.
• Experience with container operations at Jebel Ali Port.
• Strong network with truck drivers and transporters in UAE and GCC.
• Experience managing drivers and vehicle fleets.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Arabic language is required; English is an advantage.
