Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Location: Austin, TX (50% US Travel)

Overview

We are partnering with a fast-growing, well-capitalized infrastructure platform at the forefront of next-generation data center development. This organization is delivering large-scale, mission-critical facilities across multiple regions-focused on speed, scalability, and redefining traditional construction delivery models.

The Role

You will lead the planning, scheduling, cost, and risk management function across complex, multi-site data center construction programs-ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated master schedules across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Own project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and change management processes
• Track and report key project performance metrics (schedule, cost, earned value)
• Identify and mitigate critical path and long-lead risks across multiple projects
• Lead cross-functional teams including PMs, construction managers, and site teams
• Oversee contract lifecycle including procurement, bid analysis, and closeout
• Drive alignment across internal leadership and external stakeholders
• Establish scalable processes to support repeatable, high-volume project delivery

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience delivering large-scale, fast-track construction projects (data centers, infrastructure, or industrial)
• Strong leadership across multi-site or multi-region programs
• Deep understanding of full construction lifecycle and project delivery models
• Ability to operate in a high-growth, high-velocity environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills - able to influence stakeholders at all levels
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on execution and results

Requirements

• 8-15+ years of experience in construction project controls, program management, or project management
• Expertise in scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost management platforms
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments
• Willingness to travel to active project sites as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• $160K - $250K base (flexible based on experience)
