Deputy Program Director

PROCEDEO, a national Design/Construction Program Management company, is seeking a Deputy Program Director to support the oversight of a series of K-12 construction projects in the DFW area. The Deputy Program Director will work closely with the Program Director to ensure the successful execution of PROCEDEO's program management services for our client.

This position provides leadership for day-to-day program operations, supports project delivery, and serves as the Program Director's representative when delegated.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the DFW area. The Deputy Program Director will assist in managing the planning, execution, and completion of capital improvement projects while coordinating project teams, monitoring schedules and budgets, supporting client communications, and ensuring compliance with program standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director in leading the overall execution of the capital improvement program.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Program Management Team to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects.
• Serve as the Program Director's representative during meetings and client interactions as assigned.
• Coordinate with client staff, Design and Construction Services personnel, contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure effective communication and project execution.
• Monitor program schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Program Director.
• Support the administration of program policies, procedures, quality standards, and best practices.
• Assist in managing and coordinating the activities of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Design Managers, and program support staff.
• Review project status reports and facilitate resolution of schedule, budget, or operational challenges.
• Support procurement activities, consultant coordination, and contract administration.
• Participate in the review of design documents, constructability, phasing plans, and project implementation strategies.
• Assist with preparation of presentations, reports, Board materials, and executive-level communications.
• Promote collaboration between PROCEDEO staff, client representatives, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with client policies, contract requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior program staff and support professional development initiatives within the program team.
• Assist with public meetings, community engagement activities, and stakeholder communications as requested.
• Serve as Acting Program Director during the Program Director's absence or when delegated.
• Perform other duties necessary to support successful program delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction program management, project management, or capital improvement programs within K-12, public sector, or large-scale facilities environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple design and construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction administration, contract management, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership, project teams, and governing boards.
• Professional degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Advanced understanding of architectural drawings, construction sequencing, constructability reviews, and project delivery methods.
• Experience with CMAR, Design-Build, and other alternative delivery methods preferred.
• Ability to effectively lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Must reside in the DFW area or be willing to relocate.
• This is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
