JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid | Downtown, Toronto

Duration: 12 Months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Business Analyst - Equities and bonds trading, Brokerage to identify, track, and help resolve risks, issues, and dependencies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role

• Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirements walkthrough sessions with business and technology stakeholders. Collaborate with technology teams on solution design and API integration requirements.
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of equities and bonds business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
• Support development of delivery roadmaps, timelines, and milestones.
• Identify, track, and help resolve risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Produce and maintain key documentation (user stories, process flows, requirement documents).
• Act as liaison between business, technology, and delivery teams.

Must Have Skills

• The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within financial services, with exposure to equities and bonds trading, brokerage, or digital platforms preferred.
• Experience working with system integrations and APIs, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments is essential, along with strong communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.

Soft Skills Required

• The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The candidate should demonstrate sound judgment, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a track record of supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
