The Opportunity

The client is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual with a genuine interest in building a career within the hedge fund industry.

Key Responsibilities

Trading Analytics

Maintain and enhance trading analytics, tools, and models.

• Improve data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics workflows.
• Support the development and deployment of quantitative trading strategies.
• Assist with market data analysis and reporting.

Operations

• Run and monitor key operational processes, including:
• Daily reconciliations and investigation of trade breaks.
• End-of-month investor reporting.
• Liaison with brokers, counterparties, administrators, and other service providers.
• Respond to operational queries and resolve issues efficiently.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation solutions.

Skills & Experience Core Requirements

• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience building or working with data pipelines and workflows.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive and hardworking approach.
• Up to two years' professional experience using Python.

Desirable

• Interest in, or exposure to, commodity, power, or gas markets.
• Experience within trading, analytics, or modelling environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS.
