Financial Analyst, APAC & ME

The position holder will support the APAC & ME FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance analysis across Samsonite entities. The role will also contribute to process improvements, providing timely insights to support decision-making and reporting excellence. This position reports to the FP&A Manager, APAC & ME.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Regional FP&A team in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of monthly management reports, budgets, and rolling forecasts across Samsonite entities.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, monitor key performance indicators, and identify variances, trends, and business drivers.
• Monitor actual results against budget and forecast, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting in compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams on planning, forecasting, reporting, and data validation activities.
• Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and business insights.
• Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and ad hoc projects to strengthen FP&A capabilities.

Job Experience & Requirements

• Education
• Degree in Accounting, finance, or related disciplines
• Qualified member of recognized professional accounting body

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, management reporting, or financial analysis.
• Regional experience within a multinational environment is preferred; retail industry exposure is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
• Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Mobility/Travel

• Minimal

Computer Skills

• Strong PC skills especially in MS Excel, experience in SAP, HFM and Hyperion (Essbase) is a MUST

Language

• Fluency in English written and spoken skills
• Able to read, write and speak in Mandarin is an advantage due to exposure to China market
