Previously known as Additive Solutions and now as Barentz, a leading global specialty ingredients distributor headquartered in the Netherlands. Barentz ANZ has been operating in the region since 2009 and is looking for an individual to support the ongoing growth in New Zealand.

Barentz works with customers across pharma, nutraceuticals, dairy and food to deliver ingredient solutions that solve real commercial problems.

The Role

Reporting to the ANZ Sales Director, you will take ownership of existing accounts across NZ as well as focusing on bringing in new business across the food, dairy, pharma and nutraceutical space, while actively developing new opportunities across other industries. This is a role for someone who is self-motivated, shows initiative, commercially sharp, and comfortable owning their own patch.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business development across targeted sectors and customer segments.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts across dairy, pharma, nutraceuticals, and food customers.
• Own account planning, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting
• Identify and convert opportunities to expand product use across existing accounts and new accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and stakeholders
• Coordinate with technical support to deliver solutions to customers
• Represent Barentz at industry events and customer meetings across NZProvide regular reporting on account performance, sales activity, and market intelligence
• Key Skills & Experience

Required

• Minimum 5 years in a customer-facing sales role; 10+ years preferred
• Background in ingredients, distribution, or a related technical sales environment
• Commercially driven with a solutions-based approach and a track record of growing accounts
• Well-networked within pharma, nutraceuticals, or food manufacturing in NZTenacious and self-motivated; able to operate autonomously
• Strong relationship builder with the ability to earn trust and open doors
• Proficient in systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365CRM discipline and pipeline management experience required
• Driver’s licence required; willingness to travel domestically and occasionally to Australia
