Senior Marketing Manager

A growing consumer lifestyle and fashion brand is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Performance Marketing Manager to lead customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle marketing, and digital growth initiatives across a multi-channel e-commerce business.

This role will own performance marketing strategy across paid media, email, SMS, affiliate, and marketplace channels while serving as a key stakeholder for marketing analytics, customer insights, and agency management.

As the business continues to expand through new product launches, category growth, and evolving customer acquisition strategies, this individual will play a critical role in driving scalable and profitable growth.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with strategic thinking and leadership potential. This position will initially operate as a high-impact individual contributor while partnering closely with agencies and cross-functional teams to build the foundation for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance Marketing Strategy
• Develop and execute customer acquisition and retention strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion, customer acquisition efficiency, and customer lifetime value.
• Evaluate emerging marketing channels, technologies, and growth opportunities.
• Recommend investment priorities, testing strategies, and scalable growth initiatives.
• Paid Media Management
• Oversee performance across paid digital channels, including Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, affiliate marketing, and emerging platforms.
• Manage external agency relationships and performance expectations.
• Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and accountability measures.
• Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for optimization and scale.
• Collaborate with creative and brand teams to improve campaign effectiveness and creative performance.CRM, Email & SMS Marketing
• Lead email and SMS marketing strategy through internal and external partners.
• Develop and optimize customer lifecycle programs, including welcome, abandonment, retention, loyalty, VIP, and win-back initiatives.
• Improve segmentation, personalization, automation, and customer engagement strategies.
• Drive repeat purchases, customer retention, and long-term customer value.
• Marketplace & Channel Growth
• Support marketplace marketing and growth initiatives across key online sales channels.
• Monitor advertising performance, profitability, and customer acquisition opportunities.
• Identify strategies to improve visibility, conversion, and revenue growth.
• Partner with e-commerce leadership on marketplace expansion and channel optimization initiatives.
• Analytics & Customer Insights
• Develop reporting dashboards, scorecards, and performance measurement frameworks.
• Analyze customer behavior, attribution, channel performance, and marketing effectiveness.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations and growth opportunities.
• Present insights and strategic recommendations to leadership teams.
• Partner cross-functionally to inform business and marketing decisions.
• Agency & Vendor Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external agency partners across paid media, retention marketing, affiliate programs, and marketplace marketing.
• Set priorities, establish performance expectations, and drive accountability.
• Lead recurring business reviews and performance discussions.
• Evaluate agency recommendations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner closely with marketing, e-commerce, creative, and executive leadership teams.
• Collaborate on campaign launches, promotional initiatives, customer experience improvements, and growth strategies.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, and broader business initiatives.
• Act as a strategic thought partner across multiple functions.
• Team & Process Development
• Help establish scalable processes, reporting structures, and operating rhythms that support growth.
• Contribute to future hiring, onboarding, and development initiatives as the team expands.
• Assist in building the foundation for a high-performing performance marketing function.

Qualifications

Required

6–10 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, digital marketing, or e-commerce marketing.

Proven success managing multi-channel customer acquisition and retention programs.

Deep experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, email marketing, SMS marketing, and lifecycle marketing strategies.

Experience managing agencies and holding external partners accountable to business outcomes.

Strong analytical, reporting, and performance measurement capabilities.

Experience with Google Analytics, attribution tools, and e-commerce reporting platforms.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Preferred

Experience within fashion, apparel, beauty, lifestyle, luxury, retail, or consumer brands.

Experience supporting marketplace growth and digital commerce initiatives.

Background building CRM programs, retention strategies, and customer lifecycle marketing initiatives.

Experience mentoring team members or contributing to organizational growth.
