Human Resources Manager (Direct Hire, Consulting Engineering)

The HR Manager owns full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, performance management redesign, retention strategy, immigration coordination, and HR operations during a period of significant company growth.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in shaping, refining, and leading the company's HR function during a period of significant growth. The role is not a ground-up build, but rather an opportunity to optimize, enhance, and scale existing HR processes and systems across recruiting, retention, compliance, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts and transition hiring ownership from administrative staff
• Design and implement scalable talent acquisition and internship programs
• Develop career-pathing frameworks and support employee growth initiatives
• Evaluate and enhance Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training programs
• Redesign and modernize performance review processes
• Build and execute retention strategies addressing engagement, career progression, and competitive market pressures
• Oversee HR operations including policies, compliance, employee relations, and documentation
• Manage benefits administration, vendor relationships, and open enrollment processes
• Support payroll and HR systems coordination and process improvements
• Partner with external counsel on immigration processes including H-1B and green card support
• Track and analyze HR metrics including retention, turnover, and engagement

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 10 plus years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR management capacity
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, and best practices
• Experience owning multiple HR functions including recruiting, employee relations, and performance management
• Proven ability to build, refine, or scale HR processes in a growing organization
• Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, and benefits administration
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, construction, or technical and professional services
• Exposure to LMS implementation, career pathing, or performance management redesign
• Familiarity with immigration coordination including H-1B and green card support
