Inventory and Logistics Lead

The Inventory & Logistics Lead will be responsible for managing and optimizing ordering, forecasting alignment, and distribution execution across key retail partners. This individual will act as a critical bridge between internal operations, third-party logistics providers, and major retail customers to ensure seamless product flow, high service levels, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations including inventory control, transportation coordination, and order fulfillment execution.
• Manage and optimize forecasting and replenishment activities in alignment with major retail systems, with a key focus on Walmart.
• Serve as the primary liaison with retail buying and replenishment teams to ensure alignment on demand planning and shipment execution.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve fulfillment efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure operational excellence, service compliance, and cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor inventory levels and proactively manage supply to meet customer demand without disruption.
• Lead, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams and external partners to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership on operational effectiveness and opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Direct experience working with Walmart ordering, replenishment, or vendor systems is required.
• Background in retail supply chain, logistics, distribution, or inventory management.
• Experience working either internally at Walmart (e.g., replenishment manager, buyer) or externally as a vendor managing Walmart accounts.
• Strong understanding of demand forecasting, order management, and large-scale retail fulfillment processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with external partners, including 3PL providers and retail customers.
• Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Exposure to additional big box retailers (e.g., At Home, Target, Home Depot, etc.).
• Experience managing multi-channel retail distribution environments.
• Familiarity with retail compliance requirements, routing guides, and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) processes.

Compensation Range

$70,000 - $120,000Benefits Offered: 2 weeks of vacation, paid sick leave where applicable by state law, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance Vision Insurance, 401K, and Life Insurance.
