Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper Needed | Upper East Side, NYC + Summer Hamptons Travel

A warm, private family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their household long-term. The family resides in a beautifully maintained 3,500 sq. ft. two-floor apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and spends summers in Sagaponack, Hamptons. They are looking for someone who truly takes pride in caring for a home and wants to become a valued part of the family’s household team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a polished, proactive, and flexible candidate who enjoys working in a fully staffed home environment and can seamlessly assist with both housekeeping and occasional childcare support as needed.

Schedule

The family is open to either

• Sunday–Thursday OR
• Monday–Friday

Typical NYC hours are

12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Flexibility is appreciated, especially during the summer months and occasional schedule changes.

Summer Hamptons Schedule

The family spends summers in Sagaponack and would like the candidate to rotate/live-in while in the Hamptons. Private bedroom and bathroom accommodations will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Full-charge deep housekeeping and daily maintenance cleaning
• Expert care of fine furnishings, linens, and household organization
• Laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care
• Cleaning and resetting the kitchen after dinner service (family employs a private chef)
• Household organization and maintaining high standards throughout the home
• Walking and caring for the family dog twice daily
• Running occasional errands as needed
• Driving children to occasional activities/classes when requested
• Stepping in to assist with childcare coverage if the nanny is unavailable or sick
• Working collaboratively with the family’s household staff

Ideal Candidate

• Prior experience working in high-end or fully staffed homes
• Strong deep-cleaning and ironing skills are required
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible, warm, discreet, and proactive personality
• Comfortable around young children and able to assist when needed
• Comfortable caring for and walking the family dog daily
• Valid driver’s license and confident driving experience required
• Someone seeking a long-term role and who genuinely cares for the home and family

Children

• 5-year-old (in school during the day)
• 21-month-old (primarily cared for by a nanny during the day)
