Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Operational Support Facilities Division (OSF), Border Patrol & Air and Marine (BPAM) Program Management Office (PMO) located in the following locations: Alisio Viejo, CA Indianapolis, IN Washinton, DC Euless, TXDutiesThis position is with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Operational Support Facilities Division.
The BPAM PMO Director is responsible for overall maintenance of various physical components designed to help Air and Marine Operations and the U.S. Border Patrol to fulfill its primary homeland security mission. These components include Sector headquarters, stations, air and marine units, hangers, checkpoints, and forward operating bases.
The BPAM PMO is within the OSF Division, which is responsible for overseeing the planning, construction, maintenance, repairs, operations, and sustainment of OFAM's facilities.
This position starts at a salary of $172,476.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
As the Division Director, your typical duties may include: Planning, evaluating, integrating, and coordinating initiatives within the BPAM Office.
The incumbent works closely with CBP leadership, special staff, directors, division chiefs, regional directors, and mission support staff, and coordinates actions with Department of Homeland Security and subordinate DHS program office staff to ensure effective implementation of program objectives.
Setting, directing, and establishing policies for BPAM PMO programs and operations, ensuring compliance with CBP and DHS requirements which includes developing and implementing new policies and procedures to address emerging operational needs and strategic objectives.
Leading the BPAM PMO in executing services, ensuring resources are properly allocated, funded, and strategically placed to achieve the BPAM PMO mission efficiently and effectively.
Overseeing the development of the BPAM PMO strategic plan and vision, to ensure alignment with the strategic plans and goals of OSF, OFAM, and CBP. Exercising the full range of delegated personnel management authorities, to include approving selections for subordinate positions, maintaining effective management-employee relations, and recognizing employee performance.

Leadership Training: All newly appointed first-time CBP Supervisors/GS-15s are required to complete mandatory training.
The training will be scheduled by the Office of Training and Development within the first 90 days of appointment. The duration of the training will include 5 weeks of in-residence training in Harpers Ferry, WV. Note: This training may be waived if previously completed. You may be required to successfully complete the training requirement as a condition of employment.
Failure to successfully complete the required course(s) of training in accordance with CBP standards and policies will result in placement into either a former or different position, demotion, or separation as determined by management and appropriate procedures.
