Title: Product Owner/Business Systems AnalystLocation: Oak Brook, IL (Hybrid 3 days onsite)Job Type: contract to hireThe PO/BSA will serve as a liaison between business units, technology, and support teams to facilitate agile product development.

This role directly interfaces with software development, architecture, UX and operations experts to represent the voice of the customer/user and is responsible for defining, documenting and clearly articulating requirements to the delivery team.

Reporting to the Product Manager, Business Information Technology, the PO/BSA will use a high level of product knowledge and critical thinking to prioritize user stories and development and ensure successful communication and implementation of all agreed-upon initiatives and their outcomes.

Assist in developing solutions through the systems life cycle following through in requirements, testing, configuration, and implementation.

Capturing and documenting business needs and support creative solutions.

Deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.

Assist decision makers by creating and modifying insightful data visualizations and reporting to contribute to impactful business decisions.

Breakdown of duties and responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree (highly preferred)Agile Certification Preferred (ex: CSPO) a plus7 plus years of experience in a Product Owner and/or Sr. Business Analyst role (or similar) in an agile software development environment.

Candidate should have experience planning/designing/driving process from inception, rather than following a pre-determined “plan”.

Strong working knowledge of agile methodology, user stories, and iterative development.

While they do not need to have previously been a developer, they will be working closely with developers, and should have a general understanding of what the developers do/are doing.

Experience with basic SQL queries to validate data is required.
