Product Owner for Wholesale/MGA Company

Position Overview

The Product Owner is responsible for system configuration and administration, continuous improvement of workflows and deliverables, and ongoing training materials with the goal of maximizing effectiveness and efficiency.

This role takes an end-to-end approach ensuring all key stakeholders are engaged in process decisions to avoid adverse impacts on any team(s). The continuous improvement objectives include simplifying, standardizing, eliminating, combining, automating, relocating, and measuring tasks as identified in the company’s operating model. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Colleague Engagement
• Collaboration with key stakeholders including IT, Data Governance/Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Training
• Engagement of subject matter experts across Divisions and Product Specialists to identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Process Design
• Continuously improve workflows and standard operating procedures to drive effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop consistent Novatae branded agent and carrier deliverables tailored to business needs
• Maximize the use of current technology tools within existing processes
• Identify additional technology solutions to drive greater efficiencies
• Collaborate with IT on security assessments and associated costs
• Support the COO and key stakeholders in assessing ROI
• Embed key measurements within processes in collaboration with Data Governance
• Manage system configuration and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Training Strategy Support
• Develop and maintain process maps across the value chain outlining roles, templates, compliance requirements, key data elements, and activities
• Create quick reference guides to simplify complex processes
• Assist the training team in developing and delivering training materials aligned to process maps (e.g., hands-on, virtual, video, standard operating procedures)
• Project Management
• Maintain a comprehensive view of current and future projects

Required Qualifications

• Work Experience: 5 - 10 years’ experience with a Wholesale Insurance Brokerage or MGA
• Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• Proven experience in a Product Owner role
• Strong knowledge of workflow optimization, process improvement, and technology integration
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Dyad ALIS agency management system experience preferred
