Role Description

The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in East Aurora, NY, with some flexibility for work from home. This position is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities within the organization.

Responsibilities include identifying the organization’s IT needs, adding updates and enhancements to current computer systems and ensuring associates’ technical issues are resolved efficiently. This position will direct the IT staff to carry out the support and maintenance of existing applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.7+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams and overseeing technology projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all departments across the company.
• Management skills, with a focus on troubleshooting issues as well as a strong ability to prioritize which issues to resolve to align with business goals of the company.
• Ability to supervisor and motivate others for high performance.
• Ability to identify software needs.
• Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL Service, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQLStrong leadership and decision making skills
• Strong knowledge of project management principles
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the IT operations; systems, and ETL Developer.
• Provide direction, guidance, and training to ETL Developer.
• Maintain the company’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce system, policies, and procedures.
• Produce detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release/upgrade.
• This includes coordinating regular ongoing discussions with the software development and implementation teams to ensure the project is on time and on budget, and all issues are resolved appropriately.
• Provide timely updates on the status of all projects to the President, Controller, and/or management team.
• Stay abreast of and ensure the company is in compliance with all state and federal information technology and cybersecurity regulations.
• Identify and eliminate security risks.
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department's annual budget.
• Preserves company assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating company outcomes, identifying problems, and anticipating organizational requirements.
• Stay current with, and evaluate, emerging technology.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Strong focus on end user support and system reliability.
• Ensures that users have the technology, access, and assistance needed to perform their jobs effectively.
• Salary:
• $110,000 - $135,000, with exact placement determined by the candidate's years of experience and qualifications.
