IT Business Lead

Job Summary

One of our customers is seeking an IT Business Lead to serve as the primary IT leader supporting a growing manufacturing operation in Knightdale, NC. This individual will act as the face of IT for the site, serving as the bridge between manufacturing leadership, business stakeholders, and Siemens' global IT organization.

While maintaining a strong understanding of infrastructure, operations, and end-user technology, the primary focus of this role is helping the business navigate a complex enterprise IT environment, align priorities, and ensure local teams maximize the value of global IT services and initiatives.

This person will partner closely with the CFO, plant leadership, procurement teams, and operational stakeholders to understand business objectives, manage IT demand, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate execution with global service owners.

They will support manufacturing operations, endpoint services, network infrastructure, production technology, cybersecurity initiatives, budgeting discussions, IT roadmaps, and site growth efforts.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded IT leader who can troubleshoot operational issues on the plant floor, facilitate stakeholder discussions, influence cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, business partnership, strategic thinking, and hands-on problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT leader and business partner for the manufacturing site.
• Act as the liaison between local business stakeholders and Siemens' global IT organization.
• Partner with plant leadership, finance, procurement, and operations teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Support manufacturing operations by ensuring critical infrastructure, networks, endpoints, and production technologies remain operational.
• Manage IT demand, prioritize initiatives, and coordinate implementation with global service owners.
• Drive stakeholder alignment, facilitate decision-making, and communicate project status and technology roadmaps.
• Support cybersecurity, business continuity, and site growth initiatives.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management discussions.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of operational technology and infrastructure issues when needed.
• Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in IT operations, IT business partnership, infrastructure support, manufacturing IT, or a related field.
• Well-rounded technical background across:

• IT operations and support
• Experience supporting IT within a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, production, or plant environment.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both plant-floor personnel and executive leadership, including CFOs, Plant Managers, and Procurement teams.
• Comfortable working independently in an environment that requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electrification, EV charging, eMobility, energy, industrial automation, or related industries.
• Experience supporting shop-floor technology, including:
• Industrial PCsScanners
• Label printers
• Production equipment
• IT/OT (Information Technology / Operational Technology) experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing IT budgets, forecasting, and vendor relationships.
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as:SAPSalesforceMicrosoft Dynamics
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives.
