Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor invoices and client billing.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., HST, payroll taxes) under the supervision of senior accountants.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and clarifications.
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to streamline financial data management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity and reporting consistency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).0–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role (internships count!).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and basic accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and GAAP is a plus.

Certification or progress toward CPA designation is an asset.
