Business Development Manager - Debt/Structured Finance & FIG

I'm tremendously excited to be partnering with one of the world's premier law firms on their search to add a Business Development Manager to their highly regarded Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and Financial Institutions team.

In this position, you will work closely with practice leadership and senior partners to drive strategic business development and marketing initiatives.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to partners, helping to execute business plans, strengthen key client relationships, identify new opportunities, and enhance the Firm's profile within the Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and Financial Institutions sectors. I'd love to engage with professionals who have previous Legal Business Development experience, ideally within a corporate practice area such as Finance, Banking, or Financial Institutions. Beyond that, this individual must be proactive, commercially minded, and capable of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders while successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead business development and marketing initiatives for the Debt Finance, Structured Finance, and Financial Institutions practices, supporting the execution of strategic plans and growth objectives.
• Take the lead on pitches, RFP responses, practice credentials, award submissions, conference sponsorships, and other profile-raising initiatives, ensuring materials are tailored and impactful.
• Partner closely with practice leadership to support cross-selling opportunities, key client initiatives, client targeting efforts, and industry-focused programs across the Firm.
• Act as a key liaison between partners and the wider BD function, coordinating meetings, tracking strategic initiatives, conducting client feedback programs, and leveraging market intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
