Business Development Manager

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Sunnyvale, CA. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, and develop strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.

The role includes leading client meetings and presentations, collaborating with product and marketing teams to align offerings with market needs, and preparing proposals, quotes, and commercial terms.

Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring industry trends and competitor activity, managing a structured sales pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM records, and reporting on progress against targets to leadership. The Business Development Manager will work cross-functionally to support go-to-market initiatives and ensure a strong customer experience from initial contact through closing and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in technology or AI-related sectors.
• Strong skills in relationship building, client communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to conduct market and customer research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, collaboration platforms).
• Proven capability to manage a sales pipeline, meet or exceed revenue targets, and work with structured sales processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering clear presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience in startups or high-growth environments and familiarity with AI or software products is highly beneficial.
