Director of Human Resources | DFW Area (On-Site)A growing trucking and logistics company in the DFW area is looking to build out a proper HR function and needs an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead it. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong HR experience and is looking to take the next step into a Director level role.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in an operationally complex environment — managing HR across a dispersed, multi-state workforce that includes drivers, mechanics, and office staff. If you've built or significantly scaled an HR practice in transportation or logistics and know DOT/FMCSA compliance inside and out, this is a great opportunity to have real impact from day one.

Requirements

• A decade or more of progressive HR experience; transportation or logistics background strongly preferred
• Solid command of DOT/FMCSA regulations and how they intersect with HR — you've lived this, not just read about it
• Track record of standing up or maturing HR infrastructure across recruiting, compliance, compensation, and employee relations
• Comfortable operating as both a strategic partner to leadership and a hands-on practitioner when needed
• Experience selecting, implementing, or managing HRIS and payroll platforms
• Strong investigative and employee relations skills across a geographically spread workforce
• Familiar with the unique HR dynamics of a driver-heavy operation — turnover, drug/physical programs, safety culture
• Experience owning a team and a budget
• Bachelor's degree preferred;
• SHRM certification a plus
• Must have existing U.S. work authorization — sponsorship not available
