Security Business Analyst

We are seeking an analytical and commercially focused Security Business Analyst to support the continuous improvement of our security operations and business performance.

Working closely with senior management and operational teams, you will analyse business data, monitor performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and provide insights that support better decision-making across our security services.

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a background in business analysis, and an interest in applying data-driven improvements within the security services sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Reporting

• Analyse operational, commercial and performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop regular reports, dashboards and performance summaries for senior management.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational metrics.
• Interpret complex information and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders.

Security Operations Analysis

• Analyse security service delivery data across multiple client contracts.
• Review workforce utilisation, attendance trends, overtime patterns and resource efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and service quality.
• Support management with evidence-based recommendations.

Process Improvement

• Review existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the implementation of improved workflows, systems and reporting processes.
• Assist with operational change initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new processes and recommend further enhancements.

Risk, Compliance & Performance Monitoring

• Analyse incident data and operational trends.
• Support risk identification and mitigation planning.
• Review audit findings and compliance performance information.
• Assist management in developing corrective action plans.

Stakeholder Support

• Work with Operations, Finance, HR and Senior Management teams.
• Provide analytical support during contract reviews and business planning activities.
• Prepare presentations and reports to support strategic decisions.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Analytics, Business Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a business analyst, data analyst, operations analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful business insights.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience working with reporting tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience working within the security services, facilities management, or service delivery industry.
• Experience analysing operational performance data.
• Knowledge of KPIs, SLAs and contract performance reporting.
• Experience with business improvement initiatives.

Pay: £46,747.61-£54,710.03 per year
