Data Analyst

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented People Analytics Contractor for one of our enterprise clients to support their People Analytics AI & Data Science team during a high-impact period of build, automation, testing, and operational scaling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their analytics career who enjoys structured testing, workflow support, reporting validation, and documentation within a fast-moving people analytics environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the build and iteration of proactive people insights and automated workflow solutions tied to executive-ready reporting and alerts
• Assist with Power Automate workflow testing, validation checks, and process documentation
• Perform Power BI output validation, formatting reviews, reporting QA, and dashboard support
• Execute predefined test cases and document results for conversational analytics and AI-enabled people analytics products
• Validate analytics outputs against source-of-truth reporting using SQL and Power BI-based data checks
• Track defects, retesting results, validation outcomes, and open issues to support quality assurance efforts
• Support dashboard and content refresh activities for analytics navigation tools and AI-enabled reporting assets
• Perform structured testing of links, metadata, routing, and user experience flows across analytics tools and dashboards
• Maintain repeatable processes, templates, testing logs, and operational documentation to support scaled delivery
• Assist with lightweight troubleshooting, workflow refinement, and monitoring of automated reporting and notification processes
• Communicate work status, blockers, risks, and testing progress clearly within an iterative build and release environment
• Support reporting asset organization, product operations, and analytics maintenance tasks as business needs evolve

Skills

• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, or related analytics/reporting tools through coursework, internships, or project work
• Comfortable working with structured data and validating outputs against source-of-truth reporting
• Experience following defined testing, QA, validation, or documentation processes
• Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to stay organized and support multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment
• Nice-to-Have

Skills

• Exposure to People Analytics, HR analytics, workforce reporting, or HR systems data
• Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, or release validation
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics tools, conversational analytics, or workflow automation solutions
• Experience supporting dashboards, reporting operations, or analytics product maintenance
• Exposure to documentation, process improvement, or workflow troubleshooting in an analytics environment
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field in progress or recently completed
• A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $35 - $40/hour on W2.
