This is a player-coach role. The right candidate is a hands-on generalist who can operate independently across IT infrastructure, security, end-user support, and integrations — while also building structure and eventually leading a small team. They will hire and manage a Support Technician (Help Desk) as their first direct report, but they should expect to be in the trenches themselves for the foreseeable future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the full transition from our current MSP to an in-house IT function, including knowledge transfer, credential and access migration, and system validation

2. Assume direct ownership of all vendor relationships, MDR/EDR, M365 tenant administration, and Sophos firewall management.

3. Own the day-to-day management and health of the IT environment: M365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Entra ID), endpoint management (Intune or equivalent), firewall and network infrastructure across all locations, and backup/disaster recovery.
