An Engineering Manager to lead enterprise observability platforms and developer tooling, driving system reliability and developer productivity at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team
• Foster a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement
• Set priorities and align team efforts with strategic objectives

Observability Strategy & Execution

• Define and implement observability standards across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Establish best practices for monitoring, dashboards, and service health tracking
• Promote SLI/SLO-based approaches and proactive instrumentation

DevOps & Platform Governance

• Oversee CI/CD and developer platforms, including tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
• Establish governance frameworks for repositories, pipelines, and integrations
• Ensure platforms are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise standards

Reliability & Incident Management

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
• Enhance detection, recovery, and on-call readiness processes
• Drive continuous improvement in system reliability and availability

Platform Engineering & Automation

• Implement and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• Standardize operational practices and optimize platform performance
• Evaluate and adopt new tools based on capability, cost, and scalability

Security, Compliance & Cost Optimization

• Ensure strong security controls, auditability, and compliance across platforms
• Manage access governance and logging practices
• Optimize platform costs while maintaining performance and usability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, SRE, security, and infrastructure teams
• Translate technical initiatives into measurable business value
• Align stakeholders across application and platform teams

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in observability, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS and/or Azure)
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
