• What We Need:

The Manager of Operational Technology (OT) is responsible for the reliability, security, support, and continuous improvement of the company's manufacturing technology environment.

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, this role serves as the primary technology partner to Manufacturing Operations and Engineering, ensuring that production systems, industrial networks, automation platforms, and plant-floor technologies effectively support business objectives.

The Manager of OT will lead the administration and support of manufacturing systems, industrial control systems, SCADA platforms, industrial networking, and related technologies while driving OT cybersecurity, operational resilience, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

This role is responsible for leading the organization's IT/OT convergence strategy, ensuring secure integration between manufacturing systems and enterprise technology platforms while maintaining production reliability and operational resilience.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and IT teams, the Manager of OT will identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and data to improve manufacturing performance, system availability, product quality, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will combine a strong technical background with a collaborative, service-oriented approach and a deep understanding of the unique demands of a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

• Operational Technology Leadership
• Serve as the primary technology partner to Manufacturing Operations and Engineering.
• Develop and execute the OT technology roadmap aligned with business and operational objectives.
• Establish OT governance, standards, and best practices across manufacturing facilities.
• Lead OT modernization initiatives, automation projects, and digital transformation efforts.
• Manufacturing Systems Support
• Manage and support manufacturing technology platforms including SCADA, HMI, PLC, industrial networking, historians, and manufacturing execution-related systems.
• Provide administration, support, and continuous improvement for Wonderware (AVEVA) applications and related manufacturing systems.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production-impacting technology issues.
• Coordinate software upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle management of OT assets.OT Infrastructure & Industrial Networking
• Oversee plant-floor networking infrastructure, including industrial switches, wireless connectivity, and communication between OT and enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams to ensure reliable connectivity and system availability.
• Maintain OT asset inventories, architecture documentation, and system diagrams.
• Cybersecurity & Risk Management
• Partner with Information Security teams to implement OT cybersecurity controls and standards.
• Support vulnerability management, network segmentation, access control, and secure remote access solutions.
• Assist with OT incident response, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Project Management & Continuous Improvement
• Lead OT-related projects from planning through implementation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency, quality, visibility, and reliability.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Manage OT vendors, service providers, and system integrators.
• Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Build strong relationships with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and IT teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to OT support personnel and contractors.
• Participate in after-hours support and escalation processes for production-impacting incidents as required.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience supporting Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Manufacturing Systems, or related environments.

Previous experience supporting Operational Technology within a manufacturing environment is required, with experience supporting Wonderware (AVEVA) applications and related manufacturing systems strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of industrial networking, automation systems, and plant-floor technologies.

Experience managing technology projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

Experience supporting Wonderware / AVEVA System Platform, or similar applications.

Experience with SCADA, HMI, PLC, and industrial automation systems.

Experience supporting label printing software (e.g., Loftware, CoLOS)Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or OT cybersecurity best practices.

Experience supporting food and beverage manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with manufacturing ERP, MES, quality, maintenance, and production systems.

Experience with Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0, data analytics, or predictive maintenance initiatives.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, PMP, CCNA, or similar.
