Data Platform Manager (ELT / UAT)

Maltem Asia is seeking a Data Platform Manager for a Investment Management Client based in Singapore.

Main Responsibilities

As part of the Performance & Risk team, the Data Platform Manager will act as the key technical owner for the enterprise risk and portfolio analytics platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, investment teams, data providers, and technology partners, this role will be responsible for end-to-end platform implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operational support. Responsibilities include:

• Own the overall architecture, design, and continuous improvement of the Performance & Risk data platform, including data models for reference data, portfolio holdings, investment structures, and analytics repositories.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated data integration pipelines through file-based transfers and APIs across multiple internal and external data sources, ensuring data accuracy, validation, reconciliation, and governance standards.
• Lead technical delivery activities for platform implementation, including integration design, system configuration, access management, testing, UAT coordination, parallel runs, and production deployment.
• Manage daily platform operations, including batch processing, monitoring, issue management, release coordination, production support, and continuous improvements.
• Act as the technical bridge between business users and technology teams, simplifying complex technical topics into clear business updates while supporting reporting and analytical requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in technology, data engineering, or platform management within financial services or similar environments.
• Experience implementing, managing, or supporting enterprise risk, investment, or portfolio analytics platforms.
• Strong experience in relational database design, financial data modelling, and analytics data warehouse development.
• Hands-on experience designing relational data models and analytics data warehouses for financial reference and analytics data
• Proven ability to build and operate automated data pipelines (ETL/ELT, SFTP) for financial data without a large supporting engineering team
• Familiarity with investment data concepts: holdings/positions, security identifiers, pricing, NAV, benchmarks, and OTC derivative terms
• Understanding of enterprise risk platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin, MSCI BarraOne, or equivalent
• Good understanding of investment and financial data concepts such as holdings, positions, reference data, pricing, benchmarks, and related analytics.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale risk, analytics, or data management platforms.
• Ability to work independently as a technical owner, managing priorities and delivering solutions in a lean team setup.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts from a business perspective.
