Role Description

The HR Operations Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role demands strong, hands-on Workday expertise — Plato's HR operations run in Workday, and the ideal candidate has lived in the platform across the full employee lifecycle.

In this position, the individual manages core HR operations and people processes as Plato grows, including onboarding, time-off and approvals, performance cycles, compensation changes, and organizational reporting, all administered in Workday.

Day-to-day activities include configuring and maintaining HR workflows, supporting managers and employees through Workday's self-service features, ensuring data accuracy, and generating reports to inform decisions.

The HR Operations Manager collaborates with leadership, product, and technical teams to align people processes with operational needs and contributes to improvements in HR systems, policies, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience administering HR operations in Workday across the employee lifecycle.
• Fluency with Workday manager and employee self-service, including onboarding, time-off, and approvals.
• Experience running performance cycles, compensation changes, and organizational updates within Workday.
• Proficiency configuring and maintaining Workday HR workflows and business processes.
• Strong hands-on experience building and running reports in Workday.
• Demonstrated experience as a people manager, HR generalist, HRBP, or HR operations professional.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills;
• Workday certification a plus
