Logistics Manager - Industrial / Manufacturing

• Required Skills & Experience7+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations management within manufacturing, data center, or industrial environments
• Demonstrated experience managing material flow operations supporting high-volume production (500+ units/month)
• Strong knowledge of WMS platforms, inventory control systems, and logistics tracking tools
• Experience with inbound/outbound logistics, rigging/heavy-load movement, and carrier coordination
• Familiarity with Lean logistics, material flow optimization, and kitting/staging for production lines
• Forklift and rigging certification or equivalent experience;
• OSHA 30 preferred
• Proven ability to stand up logistics operations in greenfield or ramp-stage environments
• Strong analytical skills with experience building and maintaining operational dashboards and KPI reporting

Position Summary

The Operations Manager – Logistics is accountable for all material flow operations, inventory control, and outbound delivery execution across the manufacturing lifecycle. This role ensures that materials, components, and finished production-ready rack units move efficiently from inbound receiving through production staging to final shipment.

The position is central to enabling a premier client’s mission of delivering 70%+ production-ready units directly to data center locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Flow Operations
• Execute and manage all inbound, in-process, and outbound material flow operations; ensure material readiness and production continuity across Fabrication and Assembly workstreams.
• Inventory Management & Control
• Own inventory accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation, material traceability, location management, and stock level optimization; prevent shortages and minimize excess.
• Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment
• Oversee picking, packing, kitting, staging, and line-side delivery to Fabrication and Assembly; manage internal material transport and workflow coordination.
• Outbound & Shipping Operations
• Manage final product staging, load planning, rigging coordination, carrier interface, and delivery scheduling; own documentation (BOLs, manifests) and shipment execution.
• Workforce Leadership
• Manage logistics/warehouse workforce including Material Handlers, Working Leads
• Logistics, Foremen
• Logistics and supporting coordinators across multi-shift operations.
• Systems & Analytics
• Own Warehouse Management System (WMS) operations; drive inventory visibility, throughput tracking, and performance reporting; manage KPI/SLA reporting (accuracy, fulfillment, on-time shipment).
• Production Alignment
• Coordinate logistics workflows with production schedules to minimize delays and bottlenecks; support structured intake and prioritization of material flow activities.
• Issue Management
• Implement real-time issue management and escalation protocols for logistics disruptions; drive cross-functional blocker resolution with Fabrication and Assembly teams.
• Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all logistics personnel maintain required certifications (Forklift Certification, Rigging & Load Handling, Heavy Load Movement, Spotter Training); enforce safety standards in warehouse and dock operations.
• Continuous Improvement
• Transition logistics from basic material handling to a controlled, data-driven warehouse operation; identify and implement process optimization, automation opportunities, and Lean improvements.
