The salary is broken down as £45,986 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £54,863. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
London is the most complex and diverse city in the UK, and our fleet is reflective of that. We currently have over 220different typesof vehicles supporting all operational commands including armed response vehicles, HGVs, patrol cars,motorbikesand pedal cycles. Customers can be broadly grouped into three strategic pillars - Frontline Policing, Met Ops & Performance, and Counter Terrorism / Specialist Operations.
Collectively this covers pan London requirements as well as national CT responsibilities. The overall fleet requirements and volumes are owned and governed by operational leaders at the Strategic Fleet Board.
Operational teams are accountable for the volume of fleetrequiredto undertake their roles, and Fleet Services support and enable effective decision making through provision of information and technical / industry knowledge. This is a pivotal role within the Fleet Services Supply Chain team, supporting the delivery of high-performing, value-driven supplier relationships across the Fleet portfolio.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance and strengthening contract outcomes across a diverse range of suppliers. As a Supply Chain Performance Manager, you will focus on monitoring, managing and improving supplier performance, ensuring contracts deliver against agreed outcomes and continue to meet evolving service needs.
Working in a dynamic and agile environment, you'll identify opportunities to optimise performance, enhance value for money, and support the continuous development of our supply chain. Success in this role goes beyond technical expertise.
We are looking for an individual with strong influencing and collaborative skills who can confidently engage stakeholders, challenge constructively, and drive positive change across services and suppliers.
You will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on supplier performance, building strong and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, Heads of Service, Commercial Leads and wider enabling service areas. Your ability to analyse performance, communicate insights clearly, and influence decision-making will be key to delivering tangible improvements.
You will also have line management responsibility for Contract / Supplier Support role, developing and enhancing capability in performance management across the contract lifecycle, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
