Relief House Father

COMMUNITY CARE:·       Provide daily access to community members over weekends & facilitate assessments & registration processes when needed.·       Allocates space for authorised community members that are admitted into shelter.·       Supervise activities in the shelter including cleaning, neatness, showers & washing.·       Resides with and being a role model for programme community members.·       Ensure PEN procedures and standards are followed on the premises as well as during programme linked interventions to necessary service providers.·       Facilitate keys for the rooms.·       Assist with cooking & eating arrangements for Drop-In Community members on Fridays & during weekends for the Transitional Accommodation Community Members·       Build relationships with vulnerable community members & extended community members.·       Advocate on behalf of the community members & community if their voices are not audible enough.·       Maintain order, discipline and adherence to shelter rules·       Assist when emergencies arise within the community.·       Assist with driving and/or accompanying community members to meet their needs when necessary.·       Facilitate the Baby Wall at the project by ensuring the Wall is in a good working order & report any activity to the House Father.·       Refer community members with needs to the House Father.ADMINISTRATION:·       Assist community members to complete the intake processproperly including providing the required documents when needed.·       Responsible for Transitional Accommodation fees as need be. Reconcile all payments with the House Father on a Monday according to the given norms & standards.·       Ensure assets in Shelter are maintained and properly accounted for.·       Responsible for the storage, use and account for supplies of the Shelter when on duty.·       Upkeep of all allocated Registers according to the given Norms & Standards.·       Hand in Statistic records weekly·       Assist in fundraising events.·       Prepare & hand in the weekly Hand over Report at the House Father on Monday.

Recordkeeping of the Incentive Program Point system according to the given norms & standard COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY) ·     Drivers’ License·       Leadership skills·       Supervision skillsREQUIREMENTS·       Previous experience as a vulnerable/homeless person or working with vulnerable men.·       2 years’ involvement in vulnerable community processes.·       Ability to engage and influence.·       Good written and spoken English.·       Fluency in one or more local languages·       Computer Knowledgeable.
