The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage (BESS) EPC projects across the United States.
This role serves as the single point of accountability for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
The Project Manager will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle – from engineering through execution, commissioning, and closeout – ensuring full alignment with company objectives, client expectations, and industry best practices.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Construction and requires being 100% onsite at the project location throughout the duration of the project/s.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities
- Enforce strict adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards, promoting a culture of “Zero Incidents”.
- Lead multiple utility-scale solar projects from design through commercial operation, ensuring successful delivery across all project phases.
- Control project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and risk management plans, ensuring profitability and timely delivery.
- Administer project contracts, manage change orders, and resolve claims while maintaining positive client and stakeholder relationships.
- Direct and supervise onsite construction activities, including work sequencing, productivity, subcontractor management, and materials logistics.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the application of internal procedures and corporate policies across all project phases.
- Select, in coordination with Human Resources, the project team, ensuring alignment between project needs, competencies, and organizational culture.
- Oversee all project reporting and documentation, including cost tracking, progress updates, and schedule performance.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project staff to build a cohesive and high-performing team.
- Leverage lessons learned from previous projects to implement best practices, improve planning accuracy, enhance field productivity, and strengthen overall project execution.
- Ensure full compliance with Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements.
- We are looking for candidates who bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Five or more years of experience managing large-scale PV projects on the EPC side.
- Proven success in project delivery with respect to safety, schedule, cost, and quality performance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to build trust across teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work onsite 100% of the time, with rotational home visits as applicable.A PMP certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk long distances on active construction sites.
- Ability to climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varied weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE and safely access all areas of a construction site.

- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to company insurance requirements.
- Must successfully complete any required motor vehicle record (MVR) review, background screening, and employment verification processes, consistent with applicable laws.
