Lead Software Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX

Contract: W2 only, 12+ month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI

Pay: $70/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

Lead the security authentication team for internal applications and services within a financial industry environment. This role involves guiding a team through agile sprints, engaging with stakeholders, and reviewing solution designs, with the flexibility to perform hands-on development when necessary. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team on a day-to-day basis.
• Lead the agile crew in 2-week sprints.
• Be heavily involved and highly engaged with stakeholders as well as product team and external teams.
• Guide the team to make technical decisions.
• Work with the solution architects to review solution designs and provide approval.
• Responsible for deployment activities.
• Not a hands-on development role on a daily basis, however needs to be able to jump in and do hands-on development if situation arises.

• Programming language: Java (primary) & JavaScript (would be a plus)

• OpenShift platform

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to give and receive feedback.

Required Education

• Bachelor Degree required.

Preferred Skills

• Authentication Domain Knowledge
• Financial or banking background is a plus.
