Data Analyst (Data Governance) - 2 years Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst (Data Policy) to drive data governance and compliance initiatives. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, government agencies, and external partners to develop and implement data policies, standards, and governance frameworks that enable secure, responsible, and effective use of data.

Key Responsibilities Data Governance & Policy Development

• Review, interpret, and develop data governance policies, standards, frameworks, processes, and guidelines aligned with HPB's business objectives.
• Assess the impact of new and existing data-related regulations, policies, and governance requirements.
• Recommend and implement governance tools, controls, and frameworks to strengthen data compliance and management practices.

Stakeholder Advisory & Engagement

• Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on data protection laws, policies, and governance requirements.
• Support data-sharing initiatives by ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the key point of contact for data management and policy-related queries from government agencies and external stakeholders.

Governance Programmes & Initiatives

• Lead or support initiatives relating to:
• AI Governance
• Data Classification
• Data Lifecycle Management
• Privacy & Consent Management
• Data Sharing Governance
• Third-Party Data Management
• Define success metrics and conduct impact analysis to evaluate governance initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Awareness & Capability Building

• Develop training materials and communication plans to increase awareness of data governance policies and best practices.
• Conduct engagements, workshops, and awareness sessions for staff across the organisation.

Requirements Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Management, Information Management, Law, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Data Governance
• Data Protection and Privacy
• Data Management
• Policy Development
• Information or Records Management
• Data Lifecycle Management
• Master Data Management
• Data Modelling
• Data Risk Assessment

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with any of the following will have an advantage:

• Professional certifications in Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Protection, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience with Singapore Government IM8 policies or government data governance frameworks.
• Experience in AI Governance, Cybersecurity, Data Security, or Third-Party Risk Management.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
