We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Credit Underwriting Analyst to join our credit underwriting team in the FGI Finance unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in credit analysis, risk management, and financial diligence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Credit Underwriting Analyst will play a key role in evaluating new financing opportunities, performing in-depth financial and industry analysis, and supporting the structuring and documentation of transactions. The role is based in our Midtown NYC office on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare full financial analysis and due diligence report on prospective clients including reviewing historical financial statements and projections
• Drive due diligence workstreams for prospective borrowers, coordinating internal teams, third-party advisors, and client information requests
• Plan and oversee the field examination and appraisals
• Work with prospective clients on analyzing all the findings during due diligence
• Leverage AI tools to synthesize and analyze large volumes of financial/non-financial data, accelerating due diligence timelines and surfacing key insights
• Assist in the structuring and negotiation of the full legal documentation
• Travel domestically/internationally to foster client relationships and on-site diligence
• Capitalize on mentorship from experienced credit professionals
• Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects and special assignments as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant financial analyst experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent/relevant program from an accredited university
• Strong competency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
