Role Description

The Director of Business Development is a full-time hybrid role based in Alpharetta, GA, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with employer clients, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and managing a robust sales pipeline.

The Director will develop and execute strategic business plans, build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with internal teams to align solutions with client needs. Daily activities include conducting discovery meetings, preparing proposals and presentations, leading contract negotiations, and overseeing smooth handoffs to account management teams.

The Director will also monitor market trends, provide input into product and service enhancements, and report on performance metrics to drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Lead Generation, with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
• Strong Business Planning skills, including experience in developing go-to-market strategies and sales forecasts.
• Proven ability in Contract Negotiation, with experience managing complex agreements and aligning terms with organizational objectives.
• Solid Account Management capabilities, including maintaining client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying expansion opportunities.
• Experience in healthcare, benefits, or employer-focused services preferred, with understanding of preventative and data-driven care models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, comfortable using data and metrics to inform decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across in-office and remote settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
