Job Summary

This is a high-trust generalist position for someone who can take a project, get into the weeds, pull it apart, and put it back together. You will own initiatives end to end, build systems and processes, and act as a force multiplier for the founder across every part of the business.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Own special projects from the founder, end to end, with full follow-through
• Design and improve processes and systems across the office, including AI tools and automation
• Administer core HR functions: files, compliance, onboarding, policy documentation, and state and federal regulatory requirements
• Manage licensing, permits, and government regulatory filings
• Track commitments across the leadership team and hold owners accountable to deadlines
• Identify functions that can be streamlined, systematized, or outsourced, and build the business case
• Provide executive support to the founder: scheduling, correspondence, meeting preparation, and documentation
• Travel occasionally, primarily between Austin and Los Angeles

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Smart, fast, and resourceful. You figure things out
• Engineering, technical, or mechanical background strongly preferred
• Experience in office management, executive assistance, or business operations
• Some HR administration exposure. This is not a career HR role
• Strong writer and documenter
• Comfortable working directly with a demanding founder in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable using AI tools, or eager to learn them
