Junior Data Analyst – Medical Platform Operations

About The Role

Our client is a prestigious international sports organisation based in Switzerland, currently developing a state-of-the-art medical platform. They are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support the day-to-day reliability of this platform by contributing to high-quality data gathering, validation, and operational data processes.

Responsibilities

• Support data gathering and data flow processes linked to the medical platform and associated reporting activities
• Perform routine validation, cleaning, and consistency checks to improve the quality and reliability of incoming data
• Identify missing, implausible, or inconsistent values and follow up with relevant contributors to resolve queries
• Help maintain documentation, field definitions, coding rules, and standard operating procedures for platform-linked data processes
• Assist with preparing clean, analysis-ready datasets for use by senior colleagues within the medical unit
• Support testing of platform functionalities related to data entry, validation logic, and output quality
• Contribute to a culture of careful data stewardship and continuous quality improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's (preferred) in health sciences, sports science, epidemiology, data science, biostatistics, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and musculoskeletal injuries
• Strong attention to detail and genuine interest in data quality and validity
• Initial experience through studies, internships, or early professional roles in data handling or research within a health or sports-related context
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Basic experience with at least one data-related tool (Excel, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, Tableau) is an advantage
• Fluent English required;
• French and/or German is an asset
• Preferred Background
• We are particularly interested in candidates with academic or professional exposure to sports medicine, epidemiology, or health data management, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset suited to a small, dynamic team environment.
• Previous experience or training as a Data Analyst, Research Assistant, Data Quality Coordinator, or in a similar data-focused role within a health, research, or sports setting would be highly valued.
