Platform Engineer – DevOps / SRE

The Incedo Cloud Platform team is committed to delivering best-in-class DevSecOps capabilities and an exceptional developer experience. You will be a primary technical leader within the team, responsible for shaping our internal platform, driving strategic automation, and revolutionizing our continuous delivery practices to scale Incedo's cloud-based services.

You will empower the TechOps organization by establishing clear, measurable maturity goals and executing strategic initiatives to significantly improve developer productivity while advancing DevSecOps capabilities across the organization.

What Is Exciting About This Opportunity

Lead the implementation of cutting-edge tools and strategies to transform Incedo's internal cloud platform. This includes extensive work with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

You will play a critical role in enabling AI-driven enterprise solutions by building robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks.

This role offers exposure to solving large-scale cloud infrastructure challenges with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, cost optimization, observability, and automation. You will have the opportunity to architect innovative platform solutions that establish engineering best practices across the organization.

Position Overview

As a Senior Staff Platform Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide technical leadership in infrastructure, DevSecOps, cloud operations, and platform engineering. You will serve as a key architectural authority for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving complex infrastructure and service reliability challenges while proactively improving platform resilience, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Crossplane, Helm Charts, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Security teams, and other stakeholders to define platform architecture, priorities, and roadmap.
• Partner with Development, QA, and Operations teams to streamline software delivery and ensure high-quality releases.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms.
• Design and implement zero-downtime deployment and maintenance strategies for Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modern DevOps tools, cloud services, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior platform engineers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
• Enable development teams by providing platform guidance, reusable automation, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Security teams to integrate security controls, compliance requirements, and DevSecOps best practices into cloud infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and platform standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
• Eliminate manual operational effort through automation, AI-powered tooling, and modern engineering workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–10 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, Helm, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with one or more major cloud providers: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting or programming using Go, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience implementing DevOps best practices and driving automation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, compliance frameworks, and DevSecOps.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud-native or SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and automation workflows is a plus.
