Infrastructure Manager

Join us as an Infrastructure Manager

• Take on an important role in shaping the bank of the future, driving innovation and advancing our technology landscape
• You'll look after the operational health of critical platforms, balancing service, risk, cost and people to deliver reliable, high-performing outcomes
• You'll work across a broad range of technologies that help simplify services and create seamless, high-quality experiences for our customers and colleagues
• You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend at least two days working from our Manchester and other offices and branches, plus weekend work as required

What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Manager, you'll support the delivery of a robust production management service across key infrastructure platforms. You'll help maintain platform stability and performance, so systems, utilities and tools are aligned to service management standards, risk frameworks and controls processes.

Day-to-day, you'll be

• Driving team activity to make sure platform integrity is maintained, aligning infrastructure with technical roadmaps and long-term strategy
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation while delivering at pace and supporting stakeholder priorities
• Planning and coordinating platform work, making sure cross-platform feature requests and initiatives are delivered on time and to a high standard
• Championing the delivery of business value by guiding teams to focus on outcomes that enhance customer experience and operational performance
• Identifying opportunities to simplify platform architecture and services to reduce complexity while maintaining resilience and scalability

The skills you'll need

Innovation and customer experience sit at the heart of this role, so you'll bring experience working with industry-standard tools and processes to strengthen service delivery within an IT environment. You'll also have strong technical knowledge across infrastructure and technology domains, including branch infrastructure, desktop, networks, platforms, products and applications.

We'll expect you to have

• Experience applying operational principles and managing change, with an understanding of risk, finance and governance across large scale infrastructure or property-related initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capability, with experience working across teams and managing third-party suppliers
• A solid background working in Agile and Waterfall environments, with an understanding of continuous delivery and integration practices
