As part of its direct investment activity in real estate RMG is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join its team as a Financial Analyst.
Role:
As a Financial Analyst, you will help our team of advisors and analysts to design and document RMG’s investment projects and financing solutions in the area of real estate, hospitality & private equity.
You will also play a hands-on role in the ongoing asset management and reporting of the portfolio, coordinating audits, board reporting and investor communications for the underlying holding and operating entities, including luxury hospitality assets.
Transactional· Build detailed business plans and financial models to underpin investment decisions, financing and valuations· Structure investment opportunities (capital structure, third-party debt, shareholder loans, SPVs) and analyse their tax implications· Coordinate due diligence workstreams (financial, technical, legal, tax, insurance, market) with external advisors· Take part in the negotiation of syndicated real estate-backed financings, answer DDQs, review credit agreements and monitor covenant compliance· Support fundraising efforts: prepare marketing presentations, answer investor questions and DDQs, manage the investor dataroom and coordinate capital calls· Review and comment on transaction and financing documentation (share purchase agreement, shareholder agreement, investment and loan agreements, management agreements, pledge agreements, credit facilities agreements) Operational· Keep the business plan updated in coordination with project managers· Ensure the day-to-day supervision of the holding and operating companies placed under RMG's advisory mandate, with the objective of optimising value for clients and safeguarding the sound administration and liquidity of each entity· Steer and monitor the mandated third parties running the assets on a daily basis (hotel general managers and operating partners, property management companies, technical advisors and service providers), setting objectives, reviewing performance and ensuring decisions are executed in the entities' best interest· Take part in strategic decisions by putting forward pragmatic, fact-based and quantified approaches together with clear recommendations, while handling certain matters and decisions autonomously where appropriate· Ensure the implementation of the board's decisions across the relevant entities· Prepare quarterly financial reporting and consolidated management reports (budget variance analysis, macroeconomic commentary, asset valuation tracking) and carry out ad hoc financial analyses· Prepare board packs, draft board minutes and organise board meetings and AGMs for the various entities, together with shareholder communications, distributions and payment orders· Manage banking and financing relationships (interest-period notices, KYC, covenant and compliance deliverables) and monitor interest-rate hedging· Supervise the accounting, tax and statutory/consolidated audit cycles (Swiss CO, Swiss GAAP FER 30, Italian GAAP), carried out with the support of dedicated accountants and external auditors Profile:· Bachelor’s degree in economics / finance is required· 3+ years’ experience in corporate finance or private equity· strong expertise in private equity, real estate/hospitality acquisitions and operational matters · Solid financial modelling skills and a good understanding of accounting and audit processes (Swiss CO, Swiss GAAP FER, Italian GAAP a plus)· French and English are required, Italian or German would be a plus· Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
