Business Development Manager – Safety Staffing (Sales / Recruiter)

Excel Staffing provides specialized safety staffing, on-site occupational health (EMTs/paramedics), and technical rescue services — plus construction and light industrial staffing — to clients across Texas. We help companies stay compliant, keep workers safe, and get the people they need, when they need them. We're growing and hiring our first dedicated business development professional to own new-client acquisition.

What you'll do

• Land new clients across our service lines — safety specialists, on-site medical, and rescue coverage, as well as construction and light industrial staffing.
• Sell to industrial and construction buyers: plants, refineries, manufacturers, contractors, and project teams, especially around turnarounds and ramp-ups.
• Build relationships with EHS/safety managers, plant managers, superintendents, and hiring managers.
• Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, quote, follow up, close, and grow the account.
• Position Excel as the qualified backup and win business when incumbent providers fall short.
• Keep a clean pipeline and hit activity and revenue targets.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of B2B sales or business development — staffing, industrial safety services, construction/light industrial staffing, PPE/safety equipment, or a related field selling to operations, EHS, or construction buyers preferred.
• A hunter's mindset: you're energized by finding and closing new business, not just managing existing accounts.
• Strong follow-up discipline and comfort selling in the field.
• Houston/Austin market knowledge and/or an existing book of relationships is a big plus.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
