As a Finance Analyst II, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Intersegment Funds Transfer Pricing (IFTP) team. The team is integral to ensuring the bank accurately represents the true costs and benefits of its product offerings by keeping Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) precise.
In this role, you will collaborate with multiple internal TBSM and Finance stakeholders to investigate, quantify, and determine the root causes of deviations in the FTP framework. You will be responsible for producing monthly reporting, preparing dashboards, and conducting critical data analysis to support corporate initiatives and senior management decision-making.
Advantages
•High-Value Exposure: Gain foundational and specialized knowledge in treasury risk management pillars, banking management, and finance transfer structures.
•Collaborative Environment: Join a tight-knit, supportive 5-member team that prioritizes a teaching culture, diversity, and continuous professional development.
•Stellar Corporate Footprint: Work within a prestigious, forward-thinking department (TBSM) responsible for overseeing non-trading market risk, consolidated liquidity, and capital positions.
•Reporting & Dashboards: Own the production, preparation, and presentation of monthly FTP reporting and performance dashboards for Corporate products.
•Data Analysis & Investigation: Analyze large datasets to identify, investigate, and articulate the key drivers of portfolio performance, interest rate movements, and structural balance sheet discrepancies.
•Reconciliation: Investigate differences between the Bank's FTP view of net interest income and the financial reporting view to pinpoint and correct process or methodology deficiencies.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal Finance and TBSM teams (1–2 hours of daily meetings) to understand trends, communicate narratives, and promote data tools.
•Process Improvement: Continually enhance reporting data infrastructure, user experience, and overall efficiency by leveraging advanced analytics tools.
•Required: Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Finance, Economics, or an Advanced Quantitative discipline).
•Asset: Enrolment in or completion of the CFA designation; a Master's degree is highly considered an asset.
•Overall Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or financial analysis (experience in Treasury or Finance environments is highly preferred).
•Technical Proficiency: Strong, advanced Excel skills are required. Experience extracting data using SQL and building visualization reports in Tableau or Power BI is highly desirable.
•Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) concepts and North American retail banking products (mortgages, loans, deposits) is a major asset.
•Superior written and verbal communication skills to explain complex financial concepts to internal stakeholders.
•Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a dedicated, exemplary work ethic.
•Excellent relationship-management and organizational skills to meet strict deadlines.
If you are an analytical professional with 2–4 years of experience in finance, reporting, or treasury, and you thrive in a collaborative environment that values curiosity and professional growth, this is the perfect role for you. This 15-month hybrid mandate in Toronto will significantly elevate your corporate finance and treasury profile.
