Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid/remote Human Resources Manager role based in Austin, Texas, reporting to the General Manager. As the sole HR function at INS, this role blends strategic HR leadership with direct, hands-on execution of day-to-day HR operations for a growing, geographically distributed U.S. workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Own the full recruitment lifecycle: partner with department managers on staffing needs, source, screen, interview, and extend offers
• Lead onboarding for all new hires, including Form I-9/E-Verify and orientation
• Monitor employee integration during the first 90 days.
• Employee Relations & Performance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations when needed Administer performance management, including reviews, goal-setting support, and improvement planning Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
• Manage compensation and benefits administration, including enrollment coordination and market salary benchmarking Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and multi-state employment law for a remote workforce Support employment authorization and immigration-related processes in partnership with outside legal counsel
• HR Operations & Development
• Maintain the HRIS, ATS, employee files, and required HR documentation
• Coordinate training, professional development, and tracking of licenses and certifications
• Develop and administer employee engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting engineering, consulting, or technical organizations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, including multi-state compliance for remote employees
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
• Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms
• Excellent communication, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field;
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification is a plus
• Experience supporting employment authorization/immigration processes preferred

Benefits

Annual base salary of $75,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities. Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, paid holidays, and support for professional development and certifications.
