Remote ESCO Project Executive / Operations Manager

Intro

Our client is looking for an outstanding ESCO Project Executive / Operations Manager to join their growing team! This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organization and oversee complex energy and building systems projects while leading high-performing teams and driving operational success.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside within approximately 3 hours of the Ellicott City, MD area to attend occasional in-person meetings and site visits as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of ESCO and energy construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
• Manage project delivery teams, staffing, and operational performance across multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee project planning, estimating, procurement, scheduling, contracts, and construction execution.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, profitability, change orders, and financial performance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development opportunities.
• Mentor project managers and foster high-performing, collaborative teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 9+ years of ESCO, MEP, General Contractor (GC), or energy project management experience.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and MEP systems.
• Proven experience leading multiple project teams and managing project portfolios.
• Strong background in preconstruction, estimating, contract administration, procurement, and risk management.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
