Sales Manager — Outside Sales (MSP/IT Services)

About the Role

We are a fractional sales management company. We build outside sales teams for our clients by sourcing representatives and pairing them with a dedicated sales manager who runs the full sales motion on their behalf.

We are hiring a Sales Manager to own and coach a team of 10–12 outside sales representatives (OSRs) selling MSP/IT services. This role is responsible for the entire sales cycle — prospecting, discovery, presenting, closing, objection handling, and account nurturing — and for coaching representatives to execute that cycle at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Coach the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pipeline generation, qualifying, discovery, presenting, closing, objection handling, and deal nurturing, not solely top-of-funnel activity.
• Lead representatives across the full experience spectrum: earn the credibility required to coach a seasoned representative with five or more years in MSP sales, while also onboarding representatives who are new to the industry.
• Apply consultative selling as a discipline rather than a buzzword, with a demonstrated understanding of the art and science of discovery that can be taught, not merely modeled.
• Build and refine sales processes and playbooks. Templates and frameworks will be provided; the candidate is expected to exercise judgment on what constitutes effective process and to document it clearly.
• Use AI as a core component of management practice, including building Claude Projects, working within Claude Cowork or Claude Code, analyzing representative and pipeline data, and using these tools to develop and improve playbooks.
• Conduct live coaching and call reviews. Certain responsibilities occur in real time with representatives during business hours (live coaching, deal reviews, pipeline meetings), while others may be completed asynchronously (call reviews, playbook development).

Requirements

• Proven full-cycle sales management experience, including managing representatives who independently run their own complete sales cycle, not solely appointment-setters. This represents a distinct coaching skill set, and candidates with direct experience in this area are strongly preferred
• .A personal track record as a full-cycle seller, having generated one's own pipeline, conducted one's own discovery, and closed one's own deals. Candidates should be able to coach practices they have personally executed
• .MSP or IT services background strongly preferred. Technical expertise is not required; however, a genuine understanding of the products and services being sold is necessary, as coaching a sales process one does not understand is difficult
• .Demonstrated AI fluency is required. This includes proficiency in building and using Claude Projects, working within Claude Cowork or Claude Code, analyzing data with AI tools, and using AI to develop and refine sales playbooks. Familiarity limited to using AI for content creation, such as LinkedIn posts, does not meet this requirement
• .Strong process and playbook-development skills, with the ability to translate effective practices into a playbook that others can follow. Templates and frameworks will be provided; candidates are expected to apply them effectively
• .An appropriate balance of experience: sufficient tenure to earn the respect of a veteran representative, while remaining current with modern sales tools and practices rather than relying on outdated methods
• .Fluent English is required; native English proficiency is strongly preferred. Coaching a sales process involves considerable nuance, and subtle cues may be lost in translation; the candidate must be able to recognize and coach on this nuance
• .Availability during US business hours is required, with a preference for overlap with Eastern time. The candidate will be available to representatives in real time during their working hours; certain responsibilities, such as call reviews, may be completed asynchronously

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus on-target earnings (OTE) and incentive structure, commensurate with experience. Full details will be shared during the interview process.
