About us

We're a Dallas-based visual-AI company building computer-vision systems for defense and government logistics. Our platform turns camera and sensor data into real-time, auditable inventory intelligence — and it's deployed on real DoD logistics operations, not stuck in a demo environment. We're a small, senior team (under a dozen people), which means the work you ship goes straight into production and actually matters.

About the role

You'll own the everyday engineering across our .NET backend services — the core of the job — with Python work on our ML and data pipelines alongside it: shipping features, writing tests, and keeping our services and pipelines running smoothly.

The payoff is real ownership and autonomy — your work directly frees our senior engineers to focus on the hardest ML and distributed-systems problems, and there's a clear path to grow into that work yourself.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain backend services in C# / .NET 8 across a microservices monorepo
• Build and maintain ML inference and training pipelines in Python
• Write unit and integration tests as a default part of every change
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and with messaging via RabbitMQ / MQTT / Azure Service Bus
• Containerize and ship services with Docker on Azure
• Diagnose issues across services using logs and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry)

Must-have

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong in C# / .NET — this is the core of the role
• Working proficiency in Python, ideally in an ML / data context (PyTorch, data pipelines) — or a strong track record of ramping quickly on a second language
• Solid with relational databases (SQL) and comfortable with NoSQL document stores
• Experience with REST APIs, Git, and Docker
• A bias toward maintainable, well-tested code
• Able to read an existing codebase and follow its conventions rather than rewriting it
• Available on-site in Dallas, full-time
• US citizen or green-card holder strongly preferred (our work supports government clients)

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on computer-vision / ML workflow experience (model training, evaluation, deployment)
• Azure (Service Bus, container deployment) or another major cloud
• Message-driven / event-driven architecture (MQTT, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Domain-Driven Design familiarity
• CI/CD and observability tooling
