Financial Modeling Analyst

Position Overview

A growing financial consulting firm is seeking a Financial Modeling Analyst to support business valuation and financial advisory engagements. This role focuses on financial analysis, valuation modeling, and preparing reports to support mergers & acquisitions, ownership transitions, strategic planning, and other business initiatives.

This is a full-time, onsite position in Dallas- Fort Worth, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform business valuations using DCF, market comparable, and other valuation methodologies.
• Analyze financial statements, identify value drivers, and build financial models.
• Conduct forecasting, scenario, and sensitivity analyses.
• Prepare valuation reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Research industry trends and market data to support valuation assumptions.
• Collaborate with senior team members to complete valuation engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.1–3 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Preferred

Experience with Power Query or financial model automation.

Interest in pursuing professional valuation certifications (CVA, ASA, or similar).
