The Role

The Business Development Manager, Managed Services will develop and build Managed Services sales strategies and initiatives within the Presidio customer base, working jointly with the Presidio sales organization. The primary focus is to position Presidio Managed Services to our customers and prospects to help them achieve their IT operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Sales Execution
• Executing sales strategy by identifying customer needs and selling the appropriate managed services solutions.
• Developing business through multiple marketing and sales techniques including cold calling, in‑person meetings, and partnering with account managers.
• Maintaining a targeted understanding of customers' business, establishing needs, buying cycles, and crafting positive relationships to drive sales and repeat business.
• Meeting or exceeding ACV (Annual Contract Value) goals as defined by management.
• Adhering to the sales process, including pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools.
• Performing extensive proposal writing and preparing sales information for customers.
• Account Management
• Lead ongoing customer account relationships, updating account information in company systems and resolving satisfaction issues.
• Work with inside sales to ensure accurate quotes and order requests, and with engineering to scope projects accurately.
• Develop and maintain solid business relationships with decision‑makers and influencers at each target account.
• Understand each target customer's business model, map their organization, and identify unique technology needs.
• Strategic Planning & Presentation
• Perform deep analysis of the account base, including heat maps, to identify key opportunities.
• Develop and execute marketing and business plans to drive revenue and profits.
• Work with sales leadership to provide feedback, develop vendor relationships, and advance new initiatives.
• Present a Quarterly Business Outlook to the Sales Leader each quarter, focusing on past performance, pipeline, key wins, and personal improvement goals.
• Use monthly forecasting and pipeline management to handle sales growth.
• Required Skills and Professional Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent work or military experience accepted.
• Industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, ITIL, Cisco, Comp
• TIA) are considered a plus.5+ years of outside B2B sales experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, network security, professional services, or managed services.
• Strong understanding of Managed Services and recurring revenue models, including how to position value and ROI to business and technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client environments and influence decision‑makers up to the CIO, CFO, and VP level.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Solution Architects, Operations) to craft winning client strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering results against quota.

• Coachable, curious, and strategic—comfortable receiving feedback and translating it into action.
• Creative problem‑solver who thrives in dynamic, cross‑functional environments.
